Yes, the dream is coming true now! We have just submitted COMPLETLY FREE version of totally New, enhanced Cartoon Gang application. The list of new features is really long so just trying say it on one breath:
If You had already Cartoon Gang installed we strongly recommend to uninstall it and install new version (in this way You can use Your previous profile, but You will lose Your other data, but You will have new guide movie installed).
Now we are waiting for Your movies and comments.

From 24, September judging in Android Developer Challenge 2 (ADC2) has started. Look for special judging app (look for “android developer” or “challenge” in Android Market) and take Your chance to star the submitted applications!
Once You are provided with Cartoon Gang do not hesitate to give 5 stars in each category

One important issue here: we have received some not so pleasant feedback from some of You that there are no black people avatars/characters in default set. Shame on us, really. We used to live in a small country in the end of the world and we didn’t have the foggiest about that it could offend anyone. Sorry for that.
This will be changed as soon as possible and black people avatars/characters will appear soon for sure.
For now I can only say that still You can draw Your avatar with newest version from Android Market.
Be patient and forgive us this oversigh.
From Monday, 15.09.2009 Cartoon Gang v1.0 is available in Android Market for free (Social category) . We uploaded it to gain some feedback from You all, just to know what You like and what is completely annoying in version 1.0.
Application is in Your hands only for two days and we have many valuable comments and remarks. Most of You have nice impression, like the concept, but „force close” problem irritates You so much.
Yes, there was problem with memory allocation on the device when so many images were already loaded (i.e. many movie frames require many bitmap thumbnails to be loaded in memory, etc.).
But now good news! We found fabulous memory profiler for Android platform (thanks to DDMS) and will keep going with this gating issue.
New release soon, no more force closes any more 
.
And one more thing to reward Your patience: You will be able to play public movies uploaded on server soon!

It was a long night… Today at 5.09 a.m (GMT + 01:00) the final build of Cartoon Gang v1.0 was ready to be submitted for ANDROID DEVELOPER CHALLENGE 2. Thanks to Pacific Time (PT) Zone in the United States we still had four hours to the closure of submission site .
Now all of us are waiting for ADC 2 judging application. Just to take a chance of being a cartoonist, to make something funny on the mobile phone and share it with your friends.
Moreover, within few weeks on www.cartoongang.net will appear some useful data for all users – users list, movies list, rating engine and so on and so on. Stay tuned and become a mobile cartoonist!
